An unobtrusive building on Glebe Road, Brigg. This place has been a chippy since at least 1971 when regular chips was 4p and large was 6p!

Sir John Nelthorpe School, Brigg
The Sir John Nelthorpe School can trace its roots back to 1669. Sir John Nelthorpe, after whom the school is named, was born in Brigg in 1614. A lawyer by profession, he turned soldier during the Civil War. He died, unmarried, in 1669 and decided to leave his mark by founding a school in Brigg. The main building here is 19th century and housed boarding pupils as recently as the 1970's. In 1977 the old Brigg Grammar School joined the Girl's Grammar School to form the Sir John Nelthorpe Comprehensive School. The photographer was a boarder here between 1970 and 1972.

The Sir John Nelthorpe School can trace its roots back to 1669. Sir John Nelthorpe, after whom the school is named, was born in Brigg in 1614.
