Market or Butter Cross, Barrow-upon-Humber
Scheduled Ancient Monument and Grade II Listed medieval market cross. Also known as Butter Cross, late 19th century photographs show it surmounted bay a gas lamp fed from Barrow's own gas works in St Chad. The channel you can see cut into the cross was to carry the gas pipe.
