The Carnival Inn Image] has now been reduced to a heap of rubble. As the site has been purchased by the Salvation Army for a new citadel perhaps an appropriate sub-title would be "The Triumph of Temperance".

The Triumph of Temperance
The Carnival public house has been sold to the Salvation Army who intend to convert it into their new Barton citadel, replacing the old listed building on Queen Street Image] which is expensive to maintain. This is not the first pub in Barton to suffer this fate. The old Queen Inn is now the Barton Evangelical church Image
