These two late Victorian semi-detached houses on Oswald Road, Fern Villa and Holly House were constructed as the residences of managers of the North Lincolnshire Iron Company. They are now offices.

Numbers 1-7 Cliff Gardens, Scunthorpe
The Scunthorpe Heritage Trail Webpage says "This pair of large semi-detached houses were built in 1903 by the Frodingham Iron and Steel Company for their managers. At the time they would have been in a pleasant rural setting, away from the activity of the steelworks." They are now North Lincolnshire Council offices.

Another Scunthorpe pub casualty of changing drinking habits. The 'Parky Arms' on West Street had been a popular watering hole for generations and sported a mailcoach on the flat roof to the rear in the 1970s

Houses on Cliff Gardens
These substantial semi-detached houses were for many years used as offices by Humberside County Council and then North Lincolnshire Council. They have now been empty for some while but no buyers seem interested.
