Scunthorpe Baths demolition
The facade is being saved, but just about everything else has gone. The two ramp like features are the former pool bottoms (small pool nearest and large pool furthest away) with the slope from the deep end to the shallow end.

New Baths Hall
New £14.4 million project on Doncaster Road building a 2,000 seat auditorium, balcony, café and bar on the site of the old Baths Hall http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/591597 a popular entertainment venue for many years until its closure in 2006 and demolition in 2009 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1000792 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1000787
The original Baths Hall was opened on March 24 1932 by Arthur Greenwood MP, as the Scunthorpe Municipal Swimming and Slipper Baths. There were two swimming pools, 'little baths' remained open all year whereas 'big baths' was drained and boarded over October to April and the large space used to host a wide variety of entertainment and events. The entrance front was saved from demolition and is being incorporated into the new design. The late John Peel was an avid supporter of The Baths Hall and it is hoped that the new venue will be named in his honour when it opens in the summer of 2011.
