Security gates on Dawes Lane
There used to be free public access to the whole length of Dawes Lane, but shortly after the creation of Corus security gates were installed at the points where Dawes Lane enters the steel works. However, Dawes Lane is still used by many of the public as a short cut between Santon and the centre of Scunthorpe.. It will be interesting to see what attitude Tata steel takes.
