Groundworks for the new housing development
450 new homes are planned which will increase the population of Howden by at least 25%.
I hope the infrastructure can cope.
Presumably new residents will be workers at the new train works in Goole.

Howden Telephone Exchange (1)
Situated in Batty Lane, this TE is of a standard design dating from the early 1970s and is a common sight throughout the country. Besides Howden, this TE also serves Brind, Kilpin, Knedlington, Laxton, Saltmarshe and Skelton nearby.
