Goole: Yorkshire Electric Power Company offices
Goole does not appear frequently in tourist publicity about Yorkshire, but it is a town full of interest, with many good buildings, as this Electricity office (now used for other purposes) in white terracotta.

Goole: Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Goods Office
It was the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, rather than the NER, that was really big in Goole. Whilst the passenger station belonged to the NER, the LYR had the all-important line from Castleford, and also owned all the lines into the Docks. This fine Goods Office is of an appropriate size. Part of it is now used as a bar - I very much hope the rest of it has listed status.

The well known pair of water towers at Goole docks. This is the view from the west. It is pleasing to note that the towers have escaped the attentions of the aerial installers.
