Goole - The Seaman's Memorial
The Seaman's Memorial is located at the top of the bank alongside the River Ouse within a square of railings. It contains two raised beds of roses, four memorial seats and three individual memorials (not connected to conflict). There is also a large black painted anchor. At the rear is a wall containing the names of the many local ships lost from the 14th century to 1972 erected by the Goole and District Mariners Association.
