Modern milestone
Built into the garden wall of the new house which stands on the site of the old telephone exchange. There is no evidence that I can find of a milestone at this location - there was one a bit to the north of Hut Green, and a further one south of Whitley Bridge, which maps show as indicating ½ miles.
