Eastern entrance to the Frenchgate shopping centre
This is the entrance from the main shopping area on St Sepulchre Gate. Other entrances are from the railway station and North Bridge Road - but not from Frenchgate itself. The centre includes a bus station on part of the ground floor, and a rooftop car park.

15 St Sepulchre Gate, Doncaster
The one major bank in the town centre not in the cluster on the High Street. This was built for William Deacon's bank in 1923 by W. Cecil Jackson. The front has six giant Ionic columns in front of the recessed upper floors. At the time it was still a bank, the Royal Bank of Scotland, but by 2025 it was Banco Cafe & Bistro.

A visually arresting building, dating from 1977, representing its period very well. Yorkshire Bank has since been replaced by Virgin Money; travel agents TUI still here in 2025.

23-27 St Sepulchre Gate, Doncaster
The distinctive form of an inter-war Burton's store, perhaps by the company architect, Harry Wilson. If the form is not recognisable, the name survives at the top. Nationwide Building Society was still there in 2025, as was the opticians although it had changed name from Bell Brothers to Cotler & Bell.

This branch is located at 56 High Street. The wording ROYAL BUILDINGS can be seen at the front upper part of the building, while to the left can be seen between the circles near the roof, the date in Roman numerals MCMXXV which is 1925, when the building was presumably erected.
