Fire mark - County Fire Office
On a barn on Low Street.
The County Fire Office operated its fire insurance business between 1807 and 1906 when it was acquired by the Alliance Assurance Company. The mark depicts Britannia seated on a shield bearing the Union Flag with a lion at her feet.
