This originally stood in the churchyard, but was moved here in 1856 to be 'more accessible to the parish's horses'.

The approach to St Mary Magdalen Church, Walkeringham
The exterior of the church is all late medieval. Much of the interior dates from the 13th century but the clerestory is Perpendicular. A notice outside the church when I visited stated that "The church is closed on health and safety grounds. Services are currently being held in the Village Hall."

The exterior of the church is all late medieval. Much of the interior dates from the 13th century but the clerestory is Perpendicular. However, this notice was at the foot of the west tower in 2019. There is an extensive extension to the churchyard to the south from where this photograph was taken.
