The view north from Beckingham Level Crossing
The line between Doncaster and Gainsborough was opened in 1867. Beckingham station, which was the other side of the crossing on Station Road behind where I am standing, opened in 1875, closed to passengers in 1959 and entirely in 1963. It is now a house and is Listed Grade II.
