Road works adjacent to Leases Road
Leases Road is just north of Leeming and east of the 'services' at Leeming Bar - junction 51. That is the current end of the A1(M) in December 2015 and from where the road continues north as simply the A1. Road works are active presently to improve the A1 to motorway standard and the works seen in the image are probably part of that project. Leases Road is actually on the line of the Roman Road, Dere Street.
