Leases Road level crossing, Leeming Bar
Viewed from a passing train. It's hard to believe that until c.1966 this was the Great North Road, the main route to the North-East of England and Edinburgh. Imagine if all the traffic on the A1M had to stop here for a train now!

Leeming Bar level crossing
Sited at the east end of the railway station where the single line crosses Leases Road. This is a hand-operated gated crossing, only used on the rare occasions the Wensleydale Railway runs a special train towards Scruton.
