Northallerton High Street and Town Hall
The area in front of the town hall has recently been upgraded with new paving, seating, planted tubs etc, none of which makes the town hall look more attractive. The new edition of the Buildings of England - Yorkshire North Riding, describes it as 'Really irredeemable; joyless, utterly ignorant and not inventive either'. Not an architectural masterpiece then.
