Betty's Cafe & Tea Rooms in Northallerton
The queue was taking 50 minutes to gain a seat so we entered the shop and bought takeaway lunch items instead and a few minutes later we were in the Applegarth eating them; Fat Rascals, macarons etc, following a pie from Kitsons the butchers, which should also have a queue taking 50 minutes to gain entry. This town is indeed blessed.

Northallerton Market
Taken from the Town Hall looking south down the High Street towards the Market Cross with Barkers department store on the right. The road is kept open on market days, but it is usually quicker to go round by East Road. Interestingly most of the stallholders use anonymous white vans. Thank you to Northallerton Town Council for letting me use this vantage point.

All the stallholders have packed up and gone. The council workers are dismantling the stalls and the street cleaners are in action as the evening sun streams through Barkers arcade.

Wednesday Market, 08:53
Almost complete. The people from the bright yellow van have extended the council provided stall with their own and covered it all with the striped tarpaulin roof to protect the mats and carpets they are selling. Fully up and running link Image
