Former House in Ingleby Arncliffe
This £400,000 was built in 2005 without planning permission. After a prolonged legal battle the house was finally demolished in June 2009. See You Tube clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJR7vwzwtUU

Old Farmhouse, Ingleby Arncliffe
This farm house looks to be of 18th century vintage and is made of local brick, which is slightly surprising as the edge of the sandstone Cleveland Hills can be seen in the background. The house has lost its farmyard and fields, but has gained a modern housing estate instead.

Not a path I fancy walking
This is path number 10.74/3 heading NE out of Ingleby Arncliffe, but the route as shown on the official map is a good 10-15m from the right hand hedge and parallel to it. There's not even enough grass strip along the hedge line to walk the route without having to slurp through the thick mud. A common enough sight in North Yorkshire away from the national park boundaries.

Fowgill Lane
Bridleway leading north out of Ingleby Arncliffe. It looks like a pleasant route, but follow it to its end and you will emerge on the A19 race track.

Former primary school, Ingleby Arncliffe
Almost exactly 12 years to the day since I last photographed this school and there's an obvious difference as this site is now empty and neglected. I'm unsure when the school closed or where pupils go now [Osmotherley seems likely]. It's sad to see the demise of village schools but hard economics mean that the cost of keeping them open is too high. A similar situation at nearby Swainby where the primary school has also gone.
