The bells of St Eloy's Church, Great Smeaton
The bells were taken down and the fittings repaired and renovated during the summer of 2007. They were rehung by David Town, Jim Sheldrake and Martin Kirk on 3rd August 2007.

St Eloy's Church, Great Smeaton
The church dedicated to St Eloy http://www.magnificat.ca/cal/engl/12-01.htm has its origins in the 13th century. It was mostly rebuilt by G E Street in 1862 and is built of ashlar.

Church of St Eloy, Gt Smeaton
This is said to be the only historic dedication to this saint in England, which is about the only notable thing about this church which is mostly of 1862, but with a few medieval items inside.
