Platforms at Shildon
Taken from platform 2 looking towards platform 1. The station sees an hourly service in each direction with trains consisting of Sprinter units. The trains run between Bishop Auckland and Saltburn using headcodes beginning 2D, with odd numbers towards Bishop Auckland (down) and even towards Darlington (up). The services are set to be revised when Darlington Station is redeveloped and services will terminate at Darlington rather than running to Saltburn, which avoids having to cross the East Coast Mainline.
