Oakenshaw Wildlife Reserve
This is the largest of the three lakes on the old opencast coal mining site which was operated by the Banks Mining Group. Oakenshaw Wildlife Reserve is adjacent to the village of Oakenshaw and north of Willington; the view is to the east over the largest of the three pools there.
