River erosion near Bishop Auckland
This photograph shows a view of the River Wear as it makes its way pass the town of Bishop Auckland. There is considerable erosion of the south bank in this area - some of which is visible in this image. The picture was taken from the Weardale Way looking in a northerly direction towards Waterside Cottages.
