Terrace of several houses
The houses, perhaps originally four of them, appear to have undergone some conversion and are probably not all occupied as homes. They lie to the east of Newgate Street, the main shopping area in Bishop Auckland. They overlook Kingsway, a road below and to the right, out of the image.

Newgate Street
Newgate Street is one of the main shopping areas in Bishop Auckland. Like most city centres there are a number of closed shops, but also there is a wide variety active shops and many that are not parts of a chain. This makes for an interesting experience.
