Inkerman Road
The name comes from the battle in the Crimean War, and dates the settlement to the 1850s. This was time during which the coal and iron industry in the area was undergoing expansion.

Cottages at Inkerman
Inkerman forms the western end of Tow Law town and takes its name from the battle fought on Nov 5th 1854 during the Crimean War. Looking west with the A68 on the left of the picture.
