The Monument, Tow Law
In Tow Law the "War Memorial" is known as "The Monument". I don't actually know whether the use of "Monument" is confined to just this town, or County Durham or even the North East. There are some details on the "United Kingdom National Inventory Of War Memorials" website http://www.ukniwm.org.uk/server/show/conMemorial.10415 note: the location of the above memorial on the website is over a kilometre out. There is a picture on geograph Image] taken from a similar place in 1992
