Converted chapel, Forest in Teesdale
The scattered community of Forest in Teesdale once had a choice of places of worship, this building being the Primitive Methodist Chapel, now converted into a residence. One would imagine that it could have been quite a breezy walk to chapel on a brisk February Sunday back in the late 19th century. Worshippers must have been keen in those days. To the left of the chapel can be seen the nick in the skyline which is the huge hush system known as Coldberry Gutter - the work of lead miners in previous centuries.

Converted chapel in Teesdale
South of Walker Hill Plantation. No doubt it once served the scattered farming community in this upland area. Now a residence or more likely holiday accommodation.

The lane just serves a scattering of dwellings above the B6277 at Forest in Teesdale, but also provides a wonderful view over upper Teesdale.
