Ash tree in field above Hutton Garth
A public footpath crosses the fields above Hutton Garth, only really detectable via the succession of stiles over drystone walls, each with a handy sign hinting at the direction to take next. The photograph was taken from one where the footpath starts to angle up the hillside more steeply, rather than heading for the obvious gate at a similar level. The view looks past an isolated Ash tree towards the village of Healaugh, and onwards up Swaledale towards the next prolonged shower which will arrive shortly.
