Former chapel at Newlands
The building in the middle was originally an early C19 Methodist Chapel. The windows give a clue. Now a house.

Derelict outhouse
On the end of the line of old cottages at Newlands. Judging by the stone tiles on the roof, this is a very old little building, early C19 perhaps. The muddy track leads from here to Panshield farm.

O S benchmark at Newlands bridge
This seems to be dated 1930. It is inscribed on the parapet of a little bridge over the Small Burn in the farming hamlet of Newlands.

The farmhouse at Haugh Farm
One of two farms in this farming hamlet west of Ebchester. This is a fine stand alone double pile Victorian farmhouse, and is most unusual in having a date inscription of 1844 on the door lintol. I have found these very rare for farmhouses in this area.
