Little Black Hedley from the north
View of the farmhouse from the road just to the north. This farm was probably created out of the enclosed common land sometime after the enclosure act of 1771. The earliest buildings are probably early C19.

Road north of Quarry House farm
This is the minor road which runs from the A68 past the farm and then continues to the B6278 at Snods Edge. The farm up the road here is Little Black Hedley. This road probably dates from the enclosure of Bulbeck Common in 1771. It appears to follow the line of the boundary of the old common.
