Coming in to Castleside from the north
Along the A68, which runs right through the centre of the village. The Fleece is now, in 2020, the only remaining village pub.

Front Street in Castleside
The A68 main road runs rightthrough the centre of the village. It carries a lot of traffic to Northumberland and Scotland and often busy, as here. The Fleece Inn can be seen at the top, where the road bends to the right.
