Gulls at Elm Park
Common Gulls & a Carrion Crow in a pasture beside Elm Park Road. These gulls are autumn and winter visitors to the area. In the distance can be seen Apperley Bank near Whittonstall.

Grazing cows
The cows were giving me a close look as I took this photo from Elm Park Road. They are Limousin beef cattle, probably part of the herd at nearby Berry Edge Farm, which breeds them.

Beef Cattle near Elm Park
These young beef cattle were in a field north of Elm Park Road, a country lane north of Consett. They are probably Limousins or Limousin crosses, a common modern beef breed.

View down to Bank Foot Cottage
Looking down from the top of the bank on Elm Park Road to the whitewashed cottage at the bottom. There is a great view over the west side of the Derwent Valley from here also. The Pennine moors are visible along the left hand horizon and note the faint outline of Bolts Law near the left edge.
