Signpost beside the old line, Leadgate
The Consett and Sunderland Railway Path runs through the village, on the former railway. Buildings behind on St Ives' Road are Brooms School and a care home.

Pont Terrace, Leadgate
The Pont estate was built in the post WW2 period as council housing, on the north side of the existing village.

St Ives Road, Leadgate
View looking east along what is the village main street. Some of these houses are Victorian, and one shows an entry which leads to a long close behind the street. Several houses have this rather unusual feature, a survivor from earlier times.

St Ives Church and Churchyard
The church was opened in 1867. Before this, Anglican services were held in one of the village schools.
