Entrance to Tesco in Consett
Main entrance on Genesis Way. This is all on the site of Consett Steelworks, which closed in 1980. Hence the name "Genesis".

Sculpture at Puddler's Corner
This stainless steel sculpture represents a blast furnace, with its cone shape. The wires represent the smelting process when they are lit up at night. It was designed by sculptor Colin Rose in 2014. It is installed on the A692 roundabout at the south end of Front Street south of Consett town centre.

The new Morrisons at Consett
This recently opened supermarket, replacing a smaller store nearby, is Consett's first "superstore". However, Tesco is in the process of building another just over the road.
