Smallholding at Spring Gardens
Small farm or smallholding beside Howden Bank, Lanchester. Old brick built stable or byer in the centre of the picture. There was a colliery here in the C19; this building may have been connected with that.

Disused building at Maiden Law Hospital
Much of the site and many of buildings of the old Maiden Law Hospital are now in use as a nursing home and hospice. The building in view here lies to the north of those buildings and is disused, sealed and fenced off.
