This was the site of the Maiden Law Hospital. Part of the buildings have been reused as Willow Burn Hospice. A housing estate occupies the rest.

Disused building at Maiden Law Hospital
Much of the site and many of buildings of the old Maiden Law Hospital are now in use as a nursing home and hospice. The building in view here lies to the north of those buildings and is disused, sealed and fenced off.

Sheep in front of Mawsfield Wood
Grazing sheep in a field to the north of Lanchester. This was all part of Greencroft Estate years ago. The Pine copse was part of the landscaping of the estate.
