Carpark on Newbiggin Lane, Lanchester
The carpark is traversed by the Lanchester Valley Railway Path (part of National Cycle Network route 14) on the site of a demolished bridge on the line of the old railway from Lydgetts Junction to Durham.

Lanchester Valley Railway Path
This is the railway path in the centre of Lanchester passing the former station as suggested by the old platform. The National Cycle Network sign revealing the path forms part of route 14.

Lanchester Library
This is captioned 'The Old Courthouse' on the large-scale OS map. It was built, probably in the early 20C, on part of the site of the workhouse. It has been converted to the public library, and I think there might be apartments on the first floor.

Lanchester Library
This building stands on the corner of Newbiggin Lane and Front Street in the centre of the village. The building and the one next door were originally part of the Workhouse, built in 1879.

The Black Bull
On the west end of Front Street, Lanchester. This 19th century pub is one of two surviving in the village. There were four a few years ago.
