View along this access road away from the farm towards Boreland Cottage. Left of picture hanging from the barbed fence is a row of 40 dead moles reportedly an old farming tradition to warn moles away from the crops. I haven't seen this before however a similar picture has been Geographed in the same grid some 5 years previously Image It's also been suggested to me that the moles are hung on the fence by the mole catcher to demonstrate to the farmer that the job has been done, and done well.
