The Grainstore in Stranraer
This Grade B (Grade II) Listed building, constructed in 1850 to store grain and used until the mid 1980s, has been derelict for several years and been on Scotland’s Buildings at Risk register since 2001. The grain store, which is in a conservation area, was recently purchased by Richard Leat who intends to restore the building to its former glory and use it as an arts-based venue. It opened the doors for the first time this weekend for music, beer festival and photography exhibition.
