Garlieston Beach
This small single track road runs around the beach at Garlieston and leads to Chapel House, Eggerness Cottages and Eggerness Farm in this direction. The view from this seat across the beach is great. On the horizon across Wigtown Bay are Cairnholy and Cairnharrow.

Garlieston Bay
View across the beach at the bay, the new build left of picture, is a kit house put together over the last 6 months. It has great views but I'm not sure I would want to be there when there's a high winter tide.

Two New Builds
Both these new dwellings are by the beach at Garlieston Bay, the one on the left by the trees is nearing completion. The farm behind the properties is Penkiln, with a view to the Galloway Hills on the horizon.

Cormorant on Garlieston Beach
Cormorants are quite commonly seen on the shores of the Machars and around the lochs. I found this unfortunate soul washed up on the beach at Garlieston left behind by the previous high tide of the day.
