Former tollhouse
Surveyed by the Milestone Society. On Ann St behind the Murray Arms in Gatehouse of Fleet. The sign behind the planter says 'This is the original gate house'. This and the newer tollhouse at the Laurieston road junction would have served the Mail Trust.

Gatehouse of Fleet
Looking north-east along the main street, now the B727 but back in 1965 it was the main A75. The clock tower is clear at the centre, with Gatehouse Hill Wood beyond. The road is surprisingly quiet.
