Old Military Road to Jenoch Wood
Unsuitable for motor vehicles is almost true, there is a property a couple of hundred yards up the track on the right and a turning area a bit more further on towards Jenoch Wood that is accessible with a 4X4. You'd struggle after that with closed barrier farm gates and a deteriorating road which is definitely unsuitable.

Anwoth School House
Picture of the former school house with butt n ben at the side. Owned by Albert Pepper (aka Red Hot Stuff) for the last 38 years or so since moving to the area from Coniston in the Lake District. Parts of the famous Wickerman Film shot in Dumfries and Galloway were filmed here at the cottage. The lawn had just been mowed when I arrived and I had the opportunity to watch the world go by and have a wonderful blether with Albert.
