The A75 bypass was opened in 1990.

Cyclepath, New Cargenbridge
On the trackbed of the railway to Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright and Portpatrick. This stretch remained open for many years after the rest of the route was closed. It served industry at Cargenbridge. The path appeared to be very popular.
