Nagarjuna
In the Jewel of learning (Dharma). In the Jewel of community (Sangha). The jewelled and golden Nagarjuna sits with mind focussed and concentrated like a Cobra at Samye Ling Monastery. A striking image and you can do walking meditation round the lake.

Nagarjuna Statue, Kagyu Samy? Ling Tibetan Centre
From the organisation's website: 'The statue in the lake with a snake rising above it is Nagarjuna, the forefather of the Madyamika school of philosophy, which forms the basis of the Karma Kagyu view of emptiness. According to Buddhist legend, Nagarjuna discovered the Prajnaparamita teachings that had been entrusted to the nagas for safekeeping.'
