Dinwoodie Toll House
This 1822-3 house is the best surviving example of a bow-fronted Telford toll-house in the region. Now by-passed, it stands on a small section of former road. Unfortunately the current owners have surrounded the house with hedges and bushes, and the former open and pretty view is not possible - but not only have they created privacy they have cut out their own light!

Former tollhouse
Surveyed by the Milestone Society. This photograph was taken in 2011 before the hedges had grown and obscured the building. In 2018 a dog grooming business was being conducted at the property.
