Entrance to Craigbeck Hope
These lions guard the entrance to the house remote in the forest. Apparently this now does B&B, but did not in 2003 when we passed this way on the Southern Upland Way. It would have shortened a 19 mile day to 16.

Lions in the Forest!
These two stone lions guard the entrance to the only habitation in this grid square. The sign behind them advertises bed and breakfast; very welcome on this remote section of the Southern Uplands Way.

Forest lion
Another view of one of the stone lions that flank the driveway to a well hidden forest cottage (just seen through the trees). Worth remembering for anyone seeking B+B on the Southern Uplands Way. The phone number is on the sign.
