What is now the Wamphray Parish Hall was built around 1850 as the United Presbyterian Church. Behind it is the old manse, now a private residence.

Skip Cottage
Built around 1905, probably as an estate worker's cottage, it sits on the line of a Roman Road which passes up Annandale, just on the outskirts of the village of Newton.
