This former school building dates from 1892 when it opened as the Cotmanhay Road Infant's School. It is now the Cotmanhay & Ilkeston Adult Community Education Centre.

Bus on Skeavingtons Lane, Cotmanhay Farm estate
TrentBarton 635, one of that operator's large fleet of Scania L94/Wright Solar single deck buses, liveried for the Ilkeston Flyer service, heads for Derby while operating that route. The Ilkeston Flyer was extended from Ilkeston town centre to Cotmanhay Farm relatively recently, in response to competition from Yourbus and in addition to TrentBarton's The Two, which runs between here and Nottingham.
