Bridge over the Derby Canal (former)
At this point on Sustrans route 6 (contiguous with route 66). It is not obvious that the route is following the line of a canal. Until one gets to this bridge carrying Chellaston Road.

Former canal bridge, Shelton Lock
This bridge once carried Chellaston Road across the Derby Canal. It has been retained to fulfil the same function now that the canal has been converted into a footpath and cycleway.

Pylon close to Chellaston Road, Shelton Lock
Intending to Geograph the former trolleybus turning circle in Shelton Lock, I was most disappointed to find that it has been turned into a small car park, seen here. However, this elegant pylon, standing tall and skeletal against the threatening clouds like some sort of metallic Grim Reaper wielding an armoury of electrical scythes, provided some measure of compensation.
