Tight bridge over Twyford Road
The Burton to Derby railway crosses the A5132 by this low and narrow bridge which is a long-standing hazard for road traffic. A cross-country trains service from Cardiff to Nottingham is just leaving Willington station, while the Villager V3 Derby to Burton bus passes underneath.

Willington Station, on reopening 1995
View NE, towards Derby: ex-Midland Derby - Birmingham main line. The station, formerly 'Repton & Willington', was closed 4/3/68, but was reopened this day (29/5/95) as 'Willington'. A Class 158 DMU approaches on a Down service from Derby towards Burton-on-Trent. The station was reopened as part of the Ivanhoe Line project, which has subsequently been severely curtailed.
